Android 10 update includes security patch for October, as well as a number of new features and improvements for Pixel phones
Google recently released a new Android 10 update for all Pixel devices, which includes the October security patch and new features. Apparently, for the original Pixel and Pixel XL models, this will be the last monthly security update, since the official support period for both smartphones ends this month.

According to the official bulletin, several functional fixes are available in the latest update. Thus, improvements were made to the stability of Wi-Fi, gesture and system navigation, as well as fixing a memory leak in the user interface and for bootloop in certain modes. It is reported that a fix will also be provided for missing notifications in Pixel Stand mode and improved sensor calibration.

In addition, there is a fix for a highly serious infrastructure bug that affects RegisteredServicesCache, as well as two fixes related to Qualcomm components. As always, Google has published the latest versions of OTA files and factory images based on the latest update on its website for developers.

The company also introduced this month's Android Security Bulletin, which details various security fixes that are now available for Android manufacturers to deploy on their devices. In addition to Pixel smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are also receiving the October security patch. Other manufacturers, including OnePlus, Essential, HMD Global, will also begin deployment soon.
